Initial ideas.

Producing typographic interpretations of elbow's The seldom Seen Kid using typography. A little unsure how to translate that into a physical piece, series of prints? CD covers? to be sold individually?

In terms of content, I would want a good amount of quotes of type to work with, so from initial development with type, attempt favourite lyrics with type I have to form compositions?

The Lyrics- (as samples from full tracks)

Some of the lyrics chosen will possibly have to be trimmed down (such as grounds for divorce) especially with the amount of repetition, but this would depend on context.

the truest love that's ever found
Is for oneself

I can work till I break
but I love the bones of you
That, I will never escape

And we took the town to town last night
We kissed like we invented it

There'll be twisted karaokee at the Aniseed lounge
And I'll bring you further roses
But it does you no good
And it does me no good
And it does you no good

I know iron and steel couldn't hold me
But god I'm easy bruised
But so often a moth to her flame

We have the driver and time on our hands
One little room and the biggest of plans.
The days were shaping up,
Frosty and bright.
Perfect weather to fly.

I must have been working the ropes
When your hand slipped from mine
Now I live off the mirrors and smoke

In penguins and pearls, we'll drink and we'll dance
'Til the end of our days, cause it ain't left to chance

The booze turns a tall, gentle boy to a terrible totem

Cause holy cow, I love your eyes
And only now I see you like
Yeah, lying with me half-awake
Stumbling over what to say

Salford skyline gloom
Always you
Could fly round any corner
But until you do
Love you mate
