Typographic initial ideas. *

** sketches**

As cheesy as it sounds, I did put the album on, and drew along to what I could hear, to see what I could create. The album has highs and lows in feeling and tempo, and translated into the sketches made.. and hopefully is reflected in what I have produced.

Below are the first of a few digital interpretations of the sketches made. Wide long counters, tall letterforms with lost of white space. Light and elegant but a strong structure to the character. At the moment a little too light in weight but definitely some rules and guidelines forming in the typeface and little accents I love. the lowercase 'd' is my favourite at the moment, so simple.

A few interpretations of the type for now, whether to develop a working typeface first, or to produce compositions from the letterforms. I tried something that was mean't to be 'organic' but just became awkward, reflecting the initial rules of the typeface.

When developing type, using it in sentences or phrases demonstrates if it is working or not when tried to be read. Some issues here including the 't' and spacing for 'L' means the words don't sit aswell together.

As part of the development of the interpretations, almost stumbling upon itself to produce compositions from particular lyrics in the album symbolising the album in typographic form.
