These patterns are really nice!
As demonstrated and discussed previously, this brief isn't really changing the rule book really but applying a new visual identity to the event, but hopefully a little more integrity. Although perfectly acceptable resolutions, hopefully mine will be a little more considered, with a little bit of subtle detail to the design through the nature of the event.
