To see what stage I'm at with potential designs, first compiling what I have will determine what is required to be successful. Obviously there is not dialogue yet, but an initial layout has taken shape on the design to direct the user for different outcomes. This will be a clearer definition when textures and patterns are applied. Unsure on the layout currently, trying to contain what will be alot of information on approximately an a2 sheet (or bigger?, what format?)
Stripes for fully forged knives (one piece of metal) and circles for 2 piece knives. Applying textures and elements to different layers in different colours to create a similar over print technique. (Digital or screenprint?)
The knives in question, vectorised and simplified for the composition, but still containing enough information between each other.
The introduction of type I feel will make or break the composition, aswell as patterns, dividing type styles for different groups of information will add variety (retro styled type I feel allows relaxed grouping of typefaces, but still considered) but at the same time allow for an ease of access to the user.
Colour choices are initial and not considered, two bright colours is what I'm aiming for but not necessarily these two.
** Try printouts, get an idea of scale/format to develop.
