What do I want from the brief? - Elbow

The elbow brief was started with the intentions of producing typographic interpretations of lyrics but with no real strong direction. I think when I began the brief, I thought it would become secondary to more considerable briefs to produce work. As development progresses and compositions are forming, I feel the type needs more of a vehicle to reflect the band instead of just limited prints. Looking over CD packaging and different resolutions for bands, producing some kind of limited edition re-release of the album with my visual identity makes sense. I can still produce prints, but incorporate other elements and products to a range.

With a strong visual identity forming, applying the visual style to a range shouldn't be too much of an issue. Introducing CD covers, vinyl sized sleeve and prints for The Seldom seen kid.
