Abbott Miller

Becoming a partner of Pentagram in 1999 in New York, Abbott Miller has gone on to produce work featured in eye magazine, Print, I.D and has worked for the Guggenheim Museums and Museum of Modern art. At pentagram he is largely responsible for printed publications and editorial work.

Recently one of his projects has been to produce wall-coverings for Knoll textiles using a ink drip technique to create typographic compositions. the variations of colour and initial choice of stock give depth to the designs and work really well as a repeating pattern.

Translating ink to wall covering and giving the desired quality has worked really well.

Not directly relevant to the briefs currently, but as another output for typography and a level of expression i can relate to, exploring typography as form over its original function.
